Clayton A. Rogers, whose death occurred in Crawfordsville at one time lived in Waveland and was employed in the hotel barber shop. He was well liked by everybody. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rogers of Browns Valley and was born in Crawfordsville August 8, 1882. He married Miss Maude Tweedy December 2, 1907. She survives him with the parents and one brother, Clyde. Death resulted from cerebral hemorrhage of which he had a previous attack. Funeral services were held at Trinity ME Church on Tuesday morning with Rev. HH Elmore in charge. Burial at Indiana Creek Cemetery.-kz

Clayton A. Rogers, one of the best known barbers of the county died at his home, 508 Binford Street after an illness of a few hours Saturday afternoon at 5:15 o’clock. A cerebral hemorrhage caused his death. Mr. Rogers left the downtown barber shop at which he is employed at noon and went to the office of his wife, Mrs. Maude Rogers in the Ben-Hur building. He was taken ill there and removed to his home. The deceased was born in tis city, August 8, 1882, the son of Charles and Nannie Rogers. He was married Dec 2, 1907 to Maude H. Tweedy of Illinois. He operated a barber shop in West Main Street for a time and at the time of his death was employed at the Monon Hotel shop. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and Odd Fellows and Modern Woodmen. Surviving are the widow, the parents who live at Browns Valley and one brother, Clyde of this city. Funeral services will be held at the Trinity ME Church at 10:30 o’clock. Tuesday morning with the Rev. HM Elmore in charge. The body will lay in state at the church from 9 o’clock until the start of the service. Burial will be at the Indian Creek Cemetery near Brown’s Valley. -kz

Funeral services were held at 10:30 o’clock Tuesday morning at Trinity Methodist Church for Clayton Rogers, who passed away at his home, 508 Binford Street Saturday afternoon. Rev. HH Elmore had charge of services. Music was furnished by quartette composed of Fred Endean, Lester McClamrock, Arthur Fisher and Rev. RC Rogers. Pall bearers were James Layne, Ora Krout, Roy Nickels, Even Bannon, Bernie Peterman, Billie Black. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. WL Straughan, Dr. Lloyd Layne, Dr LL Davis, George H. Hickman, Everett Peterman, Homer Linn. Flower girls were Mrs. Clarence Oliver, Mrs. Ethel Campbell, Mrs. Ora Krout, Mrs. Lawrence Stewart, Mrs. Flossie Jones and Mrs. Hazel Shewey. Burial took place at Indian Creek cemetery. Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Stewart of Dunkirk, Ind; Mrs. J. Newton Higman of Muncie, Ind; Mr. and Mrs. WA Ammerman and son Karl and Mrs. Amy Bayless of Vineta, Ok; Mrs. Ralph Grimes of Lafayette, Ind; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Oliver and Jack of Indianapolis; Mrs. Margaret Kirshman; Mrs. Rose Long; Mrs. Lulu Smith; Mr. Hubert Loudermill of Waveland. -kz
